Visit to UNISSA Sinaut Campus

On Saturday morning, 1 August 2026, a group of herbal researchers from the PAPRSB Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), together with two students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), visited Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali’s (UNISSA) Sinaut Campus in Tutong, led by Dk Dr Nurolaini binti Pg Hj Muhammad Kifli, Deputy Dean (Research, Innovation and Sustainability). The visit was hosted by the Faculty of Agriculture and the Ibnu Sina Scientific Laboratory Centre.

The programme began with introductions, presentations and discussions, followed by visits to the Main Laboratory, Herbal Laboratory, UNISSA Sinaut pond and the Faculty of Agriculture’s Herbs House. These activities provided valuable insights into UNISSA’s facilities, expertise and ongoing work.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged ideas on potential areas of collaboration. There was strong enthusiasm about working together to accomplish shared goals and advance a common vision through future collaborative initiatives.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Dean, Dr Cristalina Jalil Marsal, and the Deputy Dean, Dr Syahirah binti Haji Shahlehi, as well as the Assistant Registrar, professors, lecturers and other faculty members for the fruitful discussion, warm hospitality and insightful tour of the relevant facilities and campus grounds.

The visit concluded with a group photograph and marked a positive step towards strengthening the relationship between UBD and UNISSA.
