Herbal Lab Facilities

The herbal research group laboratory have been refurbished in 2019 and re-equipped to provide researchers and students access to its improved facilities and instrumentation.  

Our lab is comprised of 2 main areas:

Wet Laboratory

The HRG Wet Laboratory mainly focuses on the extraction and isolation of plant bioactive compounds with medicinal value.

  • Soxhlet extractor
  • Rotary evaporator
  • Dry oven
  • pH meter
  • Sonicator
  • Microwave oven

Analysis Laboratory

The HRG Analysis Laboratory is a space for plant analysis studies and is fully equipped with high tech instrumentation such as High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).

  • VA analyzer (coming soon)
  • Laminar flow cabinet
  • Incubator
  • UV cabinet
  • Visible spectrophotometer
  • Centrifuge
  • -20°C freezers
  • 4°C refrigerators
